quality assurance
We are committed to a delivery of service that encompasses a philosophy of quality throughout. All training materials and presentations will be practically based, user led and of a high professional standard. We have discovered that the most effective way for adults to learn is by interaction and fun. All contact with people both verbal and written will be of a high standard. We endeavour to include new and relevant legislation in our training.
safeguarding children statement
The safety of children is considered paramount; therefore any information obtained during training courses which indicates that a child may be at risk will require the training officer to take action to ensure that the proper authorities are aware of the risk to those child/children. We are committed to promoting a safer, more secure and happier family life for children and their parents.
equality statement
We are committed to acknowledging, promoting and developing issues and practices to recognise and meet individual differences in a positive and supportive way. We believe that all people, especially children, are of equal worth so please treat everyone with respect regardless of race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion during any training course. Any discriminatory remarks, attitude or action, whether direct or indirect, should be appropriately challenged in a professional manner.
complaints and suggestions
We have a strong commitment to ensure that we continually develop effective and accessible services and practices which will encourage our service users to express their comments, suggestions and complaints with the knowledge that their views are valued, and are crucial to the evaluation and development of our services. There is an evaluation sheet for all service users to complete at the end of each training course, with a space for their comments, suggestions and complaints. All comments are recorded, monitored and evaluated.
compliments
It is always useful for Future trainers to receive your comments, particularly those which demonstrate the use of training materials in practice, or those which will inform potential customers about the quality of the training that you have received. We have a philosophy of reinforcing positives as well as addressing the things we wish to change. We hope that you will join us in this philosophy; it works in practice too!
principles of the training
It is our hope that people who attend the course have a keen interest to learn and to allow their learning to affect changes in their practice and to achieve the objectives of the training. We will endeavor to make the training as ‘open’ as possible but it is important to support the principle of confidentiality about the personal views shared so we will openly discuss the need for honesty, trust, confidentiality, punctuality, understanding. We will do our best to ensure that each member of the group feels valued and listened to. Each participant has the right to determine what may be shared with the rest of the group. Everybody’s point of view is crucial to the learning process and any differences in opinions will be discussed sensitively or questioned in a way which is constructive. We aim to create an environment within the training group that will enable everyone to feel comfortable and safe enough to contribute and enjoy the course.
