Future Childcare Training

supervising contact

about the course

This course has been designed as a practice guide to all those who are involved in the supervision of contact between family members within a range of situations and circumstances.

This course takes a refreshing look at a subject in which professional decisions have a crucial impact on the future for the child.

Many childcare professionals have found that the task of supervising contact often occurs without the necessary planning, structure, monitoring and evaluating that is essential when ensuring good quality outcomes in the best interest of the child.

Much of the day to day focus is placed on the contact session itself, however this course broadens out the ways in which professionals view that contact session and the expectations placed on it. Participants will explore the impacts on the child, family, professional workers, and the courts. Those professionals considering this course are encouraged to contact our trainers who will consider any specific needs of practice issues or emphasis that you may want included in this course.  This is a practice based two day course which focuses on providing useful professional methods of working which will enable positive changes in practice.
