handling children’s behaviour

Handling Children's Behaviour 1 Day Courseabout the course

This one-day course is for those who work with children including nursery officers, teachers, child minders, foster carers, community workers etc.  We will provide participants with the basic understanding and awareness of our approach to handling children’s behaviour taking into account the issues and pressures of living in 21st century Britain.  It is designed to impact on the day-to-day care of children in any setting.  This material is largely aimed at those who work with younger children from 0 - 8.  Participants will receive a pack of course handouts that will assist them in their practice.

We train up to 25 people on this course, often jointly training Health Workers, Social Workers, Nursery Officer, Family Support Workers, Family Placement Workers, Foster Carers, Teachers and Community Workers who work in the same area.  The advantage of this type of training is that you can develop a joint and consistent approach to families in your area and also share the cost.  The course is practice based and offers a practical down to earth approach which builds confidence.  This course has been recommended nationally to the Sure Start initiatives.
