esteem builder’s course

esteem-builders-bw-245x2451about the course

Everyone who touches the life of a child must be involved in the life enhancement process. Childcare professionals are often required to work on building self-esteem in both children and parents.  Some commonly voiced concerns from all who work in the childcare field are “Where do you start?  On what do you base your intervention and approach?  How would your methods stand up when recording or presenting a report?”

This course is designed to take a holistic view of a child’s/parent’s life, including aspects such as direct work, school, community, friends, as well as home life.  Building self-esteem can be achieved by using a practical, sequential and step-by-step process.  The material is based on outcomes of research and will provide participants with practice based esteem building strategies.  As well as providing theories from which workers can base their practice, we also offer materials and activities for use with families.

This esteem building course is suitable for all childcare professionals at every professional level within social services, health, education, early years, youth offending/youth justice teams, fostering and adoption, private and voluntary sectors, community, as well as the police.  We are confident this course will refreshingly meet the needs of both practitioners and managers.
