child protection supervisor’s course
This course is aimed to develop awareness of the supervisor’s role in the child protection process and provides the opportunity to develop skills within the role. Supervision is a vital key to the successful protection of children.
This is a two-day course and relevant for all who work in a management or supervisory role within a childcare setting.
The lack of good supervision is a common theme within many Serious Case Reviews. The need for clearly defined supervision objectives and standards are essential of the child protection framework. It is a very practical course which will enable everyone to reflect and learn from previous experiences with particular emphasis on recognising professional dangerousness. Supervisors should have a greater knowledge of policies, practice standards and procedures that are relevant to our local services within the local authority.
