anger management
Anger is an emotional state that varies in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rage. Like other emotions, it is accompanied by physiological and biological changes; when we get angry our heart rate goes up, our blood pressure goes up, as does our energy levels, hormones, and adrenaline. Anger is an emotion and one that can lead to many social difficulties. It gains more than its fair share of attention.
about the course
When managing anger with children and young people it is crucial that professionals have good strategies and understand the theoretical basis that will enable the best outcomes for the child/young person. If the professional understands the theory then there is a basis for improving relationships and helping the child deal with the underlying reason for the anger.
This one day course is suitable for all childcare professionals at every professional level within social services, health, education, early years, youth offending teams, fostering and adoption, private and voluntary sectors, community, and the police, who work with children and families. This course has been developed following extensive practical experience of working with children of all ages, over many years, where anger is often the only way they know of expressing their feelings.
